This nyckelharpa album is a culmination of my time in Finland 2021-2022 for a Fulbright Fellowship at Sibelius Academy. I often sent postcards to family and friends during this time, and like postcards, this album provides snapshots of life experienced during my time in Finland.

I had the honor of recording with inspiring folk musicians at Sibelius Academy, and composed three original nyckelharpa pieces inspired by my time in Finland. This album combined archaic Finnish improvisation, modern classical composition, and reimagines two traditional Finnish melodies.
