Lullaby for Covid

by Alyssa Rodriguez

/

about

I wrote this lullaby one evening during the first week of quarantine in March, thinking of the fear people were feeling, including myself. I had never written a lullaby before, and challenged myself to write something for my mountain dulcimer's mixolydian fretting. I found it soothing to hum and play dulcimer and hope this melody brings a moment of peace to those who hear it.

This track is recorded Lo-Fi and won the 1st Biannual "any, all, every, and why not?" Call for Scores by masters of none, a collective of composers and song-writers.
